Support for people with other life limiting illnesses or bereavement

CancerCare also offers support and therapy for people with life-limiting conditions other than cancer. In the past we have helped people with conditions such as motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (copd).

Sometimes we get asked about conditions we've never heard of and we have a team of experts at the local NHS Trust on hand that we can turn to for clinical information.

If you feel that you need some support and aren't sure if your illness or symptoms fit our criteria, get in touch and we can talk it through.

Grief, Loss & Bereavement in Adults

Grief, Loss & Bereavement in Adults

Grief is a normal and natural process that takes work to get through. It is not easy to cope with the loss of close relationships that have existed in our lives. Dealing with the emotions that occur in the grieving process takes much time and energy, and is usually both physically and emotionally demanding.

Our specialist therapists can help people work through and cope with feelings of loss, helplessness and depression.
