LoveLinks Chain goes on display!
How would you like to see, or even own part of, a unique piece of jewellery crafted represent the strength of the people who come to CancerCare?
The LoveLinks silver chain has gone on display at Arteria Gallery 23 in Lancaster following a well-attended launch event on Saturday (22 February).
The chain is the culmination of a community art project run by CancerCare’s jewellery craft group tutor Rachel Hearne and is made of 178 sterling silver links handcrafted by members of the community who attended workshops facilitated by Rachel Hearne over the past seven months.
Each link is individual and forms a chain that is over 15 feet long which will eventually be broken up and fashioned into necklaces and bracelets which will be auctioned off in a silent auction in aid of CancerCare later this year.
The chain can be viewed at Arteria, which is located on Brock Street, from Monday to Friday 10am – 5pm and on Saturdays from 9.30am – 5.30pm.
