Up to 75 per cent off high street clothing

Models will strut their stuff on the catwalk in high street style at a charity fashion show in Morecambe.

The CancerCare fashion show at Morecambe Golf Club at 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 28, will feature up to 75 per cent off clothes from River Island, Debenhams, Next, New Look, Topshop, Wallis, Evens, Miss Selfridge, EX Oasis and M&S.

Georgie Whittle, a Therapy Coordinator and hypnotherapist at CancerCare in Lancaster, is putting on the fashion show as she is preparing to undertake a gruelling 80km trek across Cambodia.

Georgie, who grew up in Morecambe and now lives in Halton, is hoping to raise at least £3,000 for CancerCare by doing the Cambodia walk in November 2018.

She said: “The fashion show will be lots of fun and everyone is welcome to come along.

“There will be a glass of fizz on arrival and we’ll have a raffle, a ‘lucky dip’ and the bar will be open.”

The fashion show is being co-ordinated by a company called Shop2Drop Ltd and sizes eight to 20 will be available.

Georgie, who will be 60 years of age when she does her Cambodia trek, said she wants to support CancerCare’s work and sees it as an exciting challenge.

She added: “I’ve been training in the gym and I’m going out with a fellwalking group in preparation for the trek.

“It will be 16km to 20km a day with some jungle terrain and a main ascent.”

Tickets for the fashion show cost £5 and are available from reception at CancerCare at Slynedales on Slyne Road, Lancaster, or call 01524 381 820.

Payments on the night can be made by cash, visa debit, credit cards and cheques.
