High Sheriff of Lancashire invites choir to perform

Lancaster-based choir, Divers Voyces, put on a special concert at the invitation of the High Sheriff of Lancashire, Robert Webb JP DL (pictured), and raised £705.20.

The concert on Sunday, November 5, was organised with help from CancerCare supporter, Bill Taylor.

Around 80 audience members travelled from across the region to hear a programme of Lutheran music at Arkholme Parish Church and donated generously to a retiring collection in aid of CancerCare.

The High Sheriff is Vice President of our charity and said he felt "very fortunate to have been involved".

CancerCare Fundraiser, Anna Webster, said: “We are so grateful for the wonderful donations collected at this superb concert, which was a real treat to hear.

"Special thanks must go to Robert, Bill and our fantastic CancerCare volunteers, who all helped to make the fundraising event a great success.”
