Bolton-le-Sands Mum Scoops CancerCare Lottery Win!

A local mum from Bolton-le-Sands has scooped a jackpot win of £3,700 in a local charity Lottery draw. Joanne Gibson was delighted to receive news that she was CancerCare’s October Rollover Lottery Draw prize winner. She says;

“I’ve been playing the CancerCare Lottery for over 10 years now and this is the first time I’ve won anything big. I recall winning £10 a few years ago but to receive a cheque for £3,700 this time is just fantastic! I'm planning some new house renovations and giving the kids extra spending money for their next holiday!"

CancerCare is an independent charity dedicated to helping local families affected by cancer and other life limiting conditions throughout North Lancashire and South Lakeland through free professional services including Counselling and dedicated support for children & young people. CancerCare’s Lottery is a vital source of income to the charity who need to raise almost £1million each year to sustain it’s free local services.

At £1 per entry per week, the CancerCare Lottery is drawn every Friday and entrants have a chance of winning 1st prize of £500, 2nd prize of £50, one of five 3rd prizes of £10 and Rollover Prize of up to £5,000.
