Lakes and mountains – what else could you want from a Lakeland adventure!
Our Ennerdale ‘Duathlon’ is a fantastic day which includes stand-up paddleboading the full length of Ennerdale Water followed by a hike up three Lakeland peaks which involves total ascent of 1023m - the equivalent climbing higher than Scafell Pike!
The stand-up paddleboarding section will include full instruction and equipment so no prior experience is necessary.
The hike route is 13.5km in length and takes in Red Pike, Starling Dodd and Great Borne. Which afford spectacular views over Ennerdale, Buttermere and Crummock Water and the final section will follow the shoreline of Ennerdale Water.
Our partners, Lancaster-based outdoor adventure providers Adventure Trails will be leading the day which, while challenging, will be manageable by most who have a reasonable level of fitness and are able to undertake some training.
In addition to the £95 fee for taking part, we are also asking walkers for a minimum sponsorship of £200 to help support the work we do providing free professional therapy for people affected by bereavement and cancer.
The walk will be fully COVID-secure and will follow all Government guidelines in place at the time.
