Vintage Pooch Parade 2015!

Over 50 dogs and their owners strutted their stuff along Morecambe's Stone Jetty on Sunday in aid of local families affected by cancer and life limiting conditions.

The Vintage Pooch Parade returned as part of this year’s Vintage by the Sea Festival line up. Participants put their pooches to the test by competing in their finest vintage outfits to raise money for local charity CancerCare.

Best in Show winner Archie with owner Chantelle McMurray from Bare dressed as Marilyn Monroe and JFK

A fun Vintage Dog Show followed immediately after the walk with rosettes and prizes given out to winners from each of the categoriesSasha and owner Kalindi Naughton from Derby dressed as Little Red Riding Hood


Best 6 Legs and Best in Show: Archie and owner Chantelle McMurray from Bare

Best Biscuit Catcher: Lucy and owner Terri Cowan from Ireland

Best Hairstyle: Kuchi and owner Mandy from Morecambe

Best Vintage Outfit: Sasha and owner Kalindi Naughton from Derby

Waggiest Tail: Tinkerbell and owner Jenny Foley from Morecambe



With sponsorship still coming in, the event is expected to raise £500 for CancerCare to help fund the vital support they provide for local families across North Lancashire and South Lakeland affected by the impact of cancer and other life limiting conditions.
