Good afternoon, I really cannot believe that this weekend marks my first six months at CancerCare. It’s been a busy period and looking back I am thrilled with the progress we are making together!

happy6monthsThe cake image reminds me today of course that it is also Coffee Morning day here  at our centres. Thank you to the team of  volunteers who help to run them every month along with our Drop In Support groups .They are so important and a lovely part of our activities.

My week has been varied with a concentration on putting together a new funding bid which, if successful, will kick start a piece of research work for the development of new services - watch this space!

mrssproutI was also delighted to meet  Mrs Sproat (pictured right) from Lancaster this week. She has been supporting our Lottery for a number of years  and was  this year’s summer prize draw winner! She was delighted to be presented with a hamper and a cheque for £500. Well done and thank you to  all our loyal Lottery players (now at over 6,000!) for all the support we receive!
