CancerCare is a local charity dedicated to the support of people with cancer, their families and carers and people who have been bereaved by cancer - and because we want to be there for a member of your family if they need us. A cancer diagnosis is a big blow - everyone is affected by it, not just the person with the disease. Young people with a close family member with cancer can be especially vulnerable - so we are there to listen, to help them make sense of it, and help them get back to school or work. Our Children and Young Peoples Services also provide training for teachers and other school staff.

Could you support us with one group of youngsters e.g. one class, one year group, becoming local heroes i.e. raising £100 or more, perhaps as part of your schools Citizenship program.
