Literature
We aim to offer information in a variety of formats on all aspects of cancer and its treatment, as well as books and journals in which people have shared their own experiences of cancer. Our library of materials, is intended to be helpful to patients and carers, as well as health professionals. The information can be seen at each of our centres, Slynedales in Lancaster and the Lakes Centre in Kendal.
Additional Information is available from these sources:
NHS (North Lancs and Cumbria Primary Care Trusts)
North Lancs PCT and Cumbria PCT are responsible for commissioning many services locally that benefit cancer patients and their carers, but many more are provided by local charities like CancerCare and other voluntary agencies. To help signpost you to the services that may help you a special booklet was produced by the former Morecambe Bay PCT, which still contains much valid information. It can be downloaded by clicking on the link below or it can be obtained from CancerCare, from your GP or direct from the Primary Care Trust offices.
