Leave a Gift in your Will
"CancerCare were there for me and my family when we needed them the most. I’m leaving a gift in my will to CancerCare because I want to leave care, hope and the promise of support for other local families for many years to come.” - Sandra
Making a will is a positive move.
But did you know that just two out of five people have made a will?
We’re all human, and it’s tempting to put it off, but making a will allows you to take active control of what will happen to your money & property in the future. It’s a way of making sure the people we care about will be looked after once we’re gone.
Consider Leaving a Gift in your Will to CancerCare
If you are making or updating your will, please consider leaving a gift to CancerCare. Any bequest, big or small will help us to ensure that we can be here to support local people affected by cancer, now and for future generations.
1 in 10 people CancerCare help owe support to the kindness of those who left a gift in their will.
Leaving a gift to CancerCare is a way of safeguarding the future of our vital services so that we can be here if your family, neighbours and other members of our community need us in the future.
How your legacy will help others
Your legacy means that when, in the future, someone comes to us scared or anxious about their diagnosis, we can offer them the support they need and be there to help them every step of the way.
Current figures show that 25 people in North Lancashire and South Lakeland are diagnosed with cancer each day. CancerCare exists to support all these people, plus their families, carers and those bereaved by cancer. Even a small gift will help us ensure that none of these people have to face cancer alone.
If a child comes to us, worried about their parent’s illness, a gift in your will can mean they will have a safe place to talk and a specialist team of therapists to help them understand.
If someone comes to us having lost a loved one through cancer, we will be there to listen as they remember the good times and support them as they deal with their grief.
