From April 2008 to March 2009, CancerCare celebrates its Silver Jubilee - 25 years of supporting local people affected by cancer.

In celebrating our success, we also recognise that significant action is needed now to ensure that we are able to celebrate a further 25 years of successfully meeting the needs of local people in 2033.

• CancerCare is a local charity, run by local people
• We support local people with cancer, their families and carers, and people bereaved by cancer
• More and more people are coming to us for psychological and emotional support to help cope with cancer in their family
• We want to carry on offering this support and advice to everyone who asks for it but we must increase our capacity to meet this growing demand
• We need to raise £2.1 million to acheive this
