In addition to the range of general and detailed information about our own services, CancerCare also has a very wide range of information on most cancer-related topics. We have a comprehensive library of important and helpful literature at each of our two centres. Some of these publications are particularly suited to patients and carers and some are more valuable for health professionals.

If you would like to view or, possibly, borrow any of our literature please contact us. It is also possible to talk to a therapist about any issues or concerns you may have on the phone, or by making an appointment for an informal meeting.

There is also a vast quantity of information available on the Internet, some of which is very helpful and some of which is not. However, we have tried to identify a number of websites that we think are good and the list can be seen by clicking on "Internet Links" in the left hand menu.

If you have difficulty getting regular access to the Internet you may find the public access facility at your local library helpful or, if you prefer, you can use the facilities at either of our centres at Slynedales, Lancaster or the Lakes Centre, Kendal.

For anyone needing legal or financial advice we have a special arrangement with a local firm of solicitors and a financial adviser. Both offer a first consultation free of charge.
