Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is another great way to support our work and enables us to plan for the future.
Employees can support CancerCare through their pay, payroll giving is a simple and tax-efficient way of making a regular donation to CancerCare. For your Company it is a great way to demonstrate your commitment to staff morale whilst supporting a local Charity.
It’s an easy way of giving more at no extra cost, as donations made through the scheme are taken from gross pay. This means that if you pledge £10 a month to the Charity it will only cost you *£6, because the donation is taken from salarie before tax, the taxman makes up the difference *(at 40% tax rate).

These donations provide CancerCare with a regular and reliable source of support which allows us to plan ahead and commit our resources to providing the services at the level that is required. Without this security of income we will be in the untenable position of having to ask vulnerable people to wait for our support at a time when they need it most.
Matched Giving
How can you inspire your employees to give more? By saying you will match whatever they raise! Matched Giving by Companies boosts the morale of employee fundraisers as it shows them you are supporting what they do.
You can match pound for pound what your employees give as part of Payroll Giving. All money given by the employee in this way is tax free and you don’t have to pay Corporation Tax on the money used for matching.
Corporations have many advantages when it comes to fundraising. First you have a large team of workers who can dedicate time and expertise towards making your fundraising event a success. In addition, you are likely to have a full roster of clients, suppliers, customers and associates who can contribute their ideas and possibly, partner with you for a fundraising event.
