Celebrate the life of a loved one

Making a donation in memory of a friend or relative is a unique way to make their memory last forever.

A donation in memory is a memorial that can last and last. It can provide great comfort at a time of loss, and become a positive way to celebrate the life of a loved one while supporting the work we do at CancerCare.

Donations in memory, no matter how small, can go a long way to helping us continue our work and give hope to many more people in need.

Ways to donate in memory

If you are organising a funeral, you may wish to ask friends and relatives of your loved one to make a donation to CancerCare instead of, or as well as, giving flowers at the funeral.

We can provide you with donation envelopes, each printed with clear instructions, which can be passed on to those who would like to donate. You can order donation envelopes by emailing:- fundraising@cancercare.org.uk

Alternatively, you can instruct those who would like to give in memory to send cheques directly to us at:

Please ask them to include their name and address (so we can send them a thank you letter in receipt of donation), and the name of the deceased.

Your Funeral Director will organise this for you if you prefer.

Tribute Funds

Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things we ever have to face.
Sometimes we find comfort in supporting the causes that were important to the person we’ve lost: keeping their memory alive whilst helping others. That’s why CancerCare has developed Tribute Funds.

What is a Tribute Fund?

A Tribute Fund is a very special way of remembering a loved one, whilst raising money for CancerCare. Your Tribute Fund can be named in honour of your loved one, and you can add to it however and whenever you would like. Some people choose to make one-off donations to their funds, others choose to organise fundraising events in memory of their loved ones – it’s completely up to you.

I’d like to set up a Tribute Fund. How do I do it?

Setting up a fund is very easy. Just complete the online form, or you can email us or call us on 01524 381 820 if you prefer.

We’ll set up and manage all the administration of the fund, keeping you updated on its progress.
