Lakeland Trails are some of the most scenic and inspiring running and walking events in the UK, for all ages and abilities, held within the iconic landscape of the Lake District National Park. A festive, family-friendly, carnival atmosphere awaits you at every venue.
Starting and finishing in Keswick, the PUMA Derwentwater Trail Race and Puma Derwentwater Challenge is a 14km circuit along well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways takes in panoramic views of Lake Derwentwater and the surrounding peaks of the Skiddaw and Blencathra range and the northern lakeland fells. Underfoot conditions are generally good for those used to trail running, but expect a bit of everything ! The course has no stiles, so there is nothing but the hills to break up your rhythm.
